The Deidre Showell Foundation seeks to support individuals in their pursuit of higher education in areas in which Deidre made exceptional strides and beyond. These areas include, but are not limited to business management, interior design, fashion design, mortuary science, etc. The Dee Dee Showell Scholarship is issued to students based on academic accomplishment. There will be a minimum of two scholarships issued annually which can be used to help defray various educational expenses (e.g., tuition, books, room and board, etc.). To be eligible for scholarship consideration, students must satisfy the following preliminary criteria:

  • Possess at least a 3.0 Grade Point Average
  • Be enrolled in a college/university program
  • Be actively involved in a church

Students must complete the Scholarship Application and provide the documentation that is requested in the application. Applicants who are chosen for scholarship consideration will be contacted for a telephone interview with a member of the scholarship committee. The deadline for all applications and the required documentation is February 2, 2013.
